"Welcome Home" is a song by the rock band Coheed and Cambria. It is the third track on the album, Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness. The song was the first single on the album, and was made into a music video. The song tells of the hostility in The Writer and Miss Erica Court's relationship in the story of Coheed and Cambria. The song is featured as a playable track in the game Rock Band and as well is featured in the soundtrack of the Xbox 360 version of Madden NFL 06.

The drums used are Pearl drums. The guitar is a Gibson EDS-1275 double neck limited edition guitar. The bass used is a homemade bass using strings of a foreign type, probably European, and the rhythm guitar is a Gibson Les Paul with an original finish.
The music video opens with a red liquid resembling blood forming the band's symbol, the Keywork, during the opening acoustic guitar riff. As the other instruments kick in, the band is shown playing on a metallic silver stage, as pictures rise out of the ground around them. The pictures then begin to play scenes from the storyline. The video alternates between the storyline and the band's performance throughout the rest of the video. The video is nearly two minutes shorter than the album version of the song, due to the shortening of the intro and the exclusion of part of the solo.
In 2007, this song was included in the Harmonix music video game Rock Band, exposing Coheed and Cambria to a considerably wider audience. However, the words "whore" and "fucking" were edited to "wolf" and "mucking" respectively.[1]
In June 2008 the song was featured in a television advertisement for the Wii version of Rock Band. In July 2008 it then went on to become the magazine High Times best music video for choreography and vocals.
The song was used in the trailer and soundtrack for the movie 9. It was also featured in the film Aaron vs. Hitler. It is used in the promo ad for the TV channel Versus. It is frequently used as "bumper music" in Sirius/Xm Satellite Radio program "The Wrap Up Show" on Howard 100/101.
The song makes frequent appearances as a sports theme. It was featured in an ad for the Wheeling Nailers. Portions of the song are used as the power play song for the 2009-10 Buffalo Sabres. This song is used in the intro video for the 2009-10 Atlanta Hawks and for the 2009-10 Dallas Stars. The song was used as the theme song for OVW professional wrestler, Kamikaze Kid, and by Detroit Tigers second baseman Will Rhymes for all plate appearances. It is also featured in the soundtrack for Madden NFL 06.
The song was once covered by the USC Trojan Marching Band. They later joined Coheed and Cambria on stage at Coachella to perform the song with them.
The original song was remixed by Shawn "Clown" Crahan of Slipknot during the All Hope Is Gone World Tour, in which both bands toured. The single was playable on Coheed & Cambria's MySpace page before being made available as a single on iTunes.
